3TS Capital Partners Acquires Minority Share of Centrul Medical Unirea

In the largest transaction involving a Romanian health care provider, 3TS Capital Partners, the Central European adviser to London-based 3i Plc, has acquired a significant minority stake in Centrul Medical Unirea. The full details of the transaction have not been announced.

A German cardiologist, Dr. Wargha Enayati, established a small private clinic in Bucharest on November 30, 1995. This clinic grew into Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU) by 1999. The company now operates other clinics and operations across Romania. During the past few years, it has seen the construction of CMU Enescu, CMU Opera Center, CMU Women’s Clinic, CMU Surgery Hospital, CMU & Elia Maternity, CMU Iride and the CMU Polyclinics. The company has over 35,000 subscribers.
