Krokus Private Equity has acquired through Nova Polonia Natexis II 19% of the shares of Odratrans S.A., the largest inland shipping company in Poland. The fund will increase its stake in the Company to 25% within three months from the first investment.

Odratrans S.A. is the largest inland shipping company in Poland with an estimated market share of 80%. Established in 1946, it has expanded significantly in recent years by acquiring most of its competitors. The Company is a holding of eight companies (Odratrans Group), which owns 490 navigating units (barges) as well as seven ports and six wharfs, with accompanying storage facilities. Odratrans operates mainly in the Polish and German markets.
Recently Odratrans acquired its competitor, DBG AG. The revenues generated by Odratrans and DBR in 2006 amounted to € 32.9 million and € 37.3 million respectively.
