Following its public offer in December 2007, Dalkia Polska has become, with 97.6% of the shares, the majority shareholder of Praterm, a Polish district heating company.

Praterm operates heating companies in 21 mid-sized cities in north, south and southeast Poland. With 206 km of a small- and mid-sized network, Praterm distributes heat to nearly 520,000 people. A total of 4.2 million gigajoules of heat was sold in 2006.
Praterm has 800 employees, and recently acquired a company producing biomass.

Dalkia Polska is an energy service company with revenues of EUR 322 million in 2006. The Company’s core business is heat production and distribution, primarily in the Poznan and Lodz regions.

Krokus was set up by partners, Witold Radwanski, Marzena Tomecka, Robert Bozyk and Piotr Oskroba, together with Natexis Private Equity following the partners’ buy-out from their former parent AIB. The team has been responsible for managing three Polish private equity funds: NIF Magna Polonia, Nova Polonia and Prospect Poland.
Krokus PE invests between € 3 and € 10 million in expansion and buy-out opportunities in the Polish mid market.
