Kisan and SKS Receive Investment from Kerten Capital

P TH Kisan and SKS Pipes Kanczuga have received an investment from private equity group, Kerten Capital as well as Syntaxis Capital through its Syntaxis Mezzanine Fund I L.P.

Kerten Capital invested EUR 1.5 million, while Syntaxis invested EUR 7 million. The investment is designed to assist the company’s brand by growing its market position and adding additional infrastructure in the form of state of the art technology. Further details of the transaction were not released.

Kisan and SKS were the first Polish firms to offer multilayer pipe and fitting systems for internal water installations and has now become the leading manufacturer and distributor in its field. Located in Piaseczno and founded in 1991, the company had sales of over EUR 11.6 million for 2007 and predicts a significant rise for 2008 as it moves into the market of Ukraine.

Syntaxis Capital, a dedicated junior capital partner that finances private mid-market companies in Central and Eastern Europe, established Syntaxis Mezzanine Fund in July 2007. The relatively new fund’s goals include providing capital in buy-outs, as well as to growing companies for financial activities such as expansion, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. The aggregate value of the junior capital firm’s five investments currently totals more than €670 million.
