Krokus PE Invests in PW Comfort

Krokus Private Equity, the Polish PE firm and advisor to Nova Polonia Natexis II private equity fund, invested in concrete pre-fabricator PW Comfort Sp. z o.o. The deal is the fourth investment for Nova Polonia Natexis II since its €52 million first close back in 2006. Comfort joins Polish shipping company Odratrans, window and door manufacturer Izoterm, and transportation systems companyy Transsystem in the Krokus portfolio.

PW Comfort is a manufacturer of prefabricated reinforced concrete products established in 1990. The company cut its teeth by working exclusively in the very competitive and difficult German market for the first two years of operation. Today Comfort operates two manufacturing facilities which provide concrete products for use in shopping centers, movie theaters, industrial buildings, and individual homes.

After years of continuous growth and expansion, PW Comfort is Poland’s largest supplier of prefabricated reinforced concrete products.

Based in Warsaw, Krokus PE is a Polish private equity company concentrating on buy-outs and capital expansion projects in lower and mid-cap companies.

The typical Krokus deal is an investment between €3 million and €10 million and an exit horizon of 3 to 5 years. Kroukus does not consider any start-up or seed investment opportunities. Their Nova Polonia Natexis II fund is a €100 million fund investing in the Polish mid-market while partner Natexis Private Equity focuses on opportunities in France.
