Arx Equity acquires Lanex and Singing Rock

A rx Equity completed the acquisition of textile rope company Lanex a.s. and climbing equipment business Singing Rock s.r.o on September 26, 2008

Arx Equity Partners will merge the companies, after which Lanex a.s. will become the successor. Arx Equity Partner is ready to support both Lanex and Singing Rock in their further expansion and growth. There will be no changes in the management and key positions at the companies, as well as the further development of the Tendon brand as well as the Singing Rock brand with a maximum utilization of synergic effects that may follow from the merger.

Lanex is the largest producers of technical textile products in the Czech Republic. Products include (1) dynamic and static ropes, (2) personal protective equipment, (3) lifting slings and lashings, (4) bulk bags, (5) marine and industrial ropes, (6) yachting ropes and (7) paper carrier ropes.

In 2007 the Company had sales of approximately € 28 million. More than 80% of sales were exported to more than 50 countries, whereas the majority was exported to European Union countries.

Singing Rock was established in 1992 and produces personal protective equipment, mainly fully body harness, sit harnesses, mountaineering equipment, mountaineering and static ropes as well as training and servicing activities for the segment of work at height and personal protection.

Annual sales of the company were CZK 130 million in 2007.
