Andijan Cable Realizes Expansion with EBRD Loan

Andijan Cable is gearing up to execute expansion plans after the EBRD agreed to provide a USD 5 million loan. The financing will help accelerate the company’s move to begin expanding its various lines of cable products including LAN, copper wire, and power cables. The cash also helps the company, already one of the industry leaders in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, strengthen its market share in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Andijan Cable
Begun in the 1980s as an enterprise of the old Soviet Union, Andijan Cable was privatized when Uzbekistan gained her independence and is now owned by the Russian company OAO Farial. Private ownership brought modernization and restructuring to Andijan Cable which is now the only producer of LAN cables in Uzbekistan.

The company also produces cables for the automotive, construction and energy, and telecommunications industries. Andijan has earned ISO 9000 certification for high quality production and standards.
