European private equity firm Riverside is seeking to find a new strategic buyer for Computer Press Media A.S. Computer Press is the leading computer books and magazines publisher in the Czech and Slovak markets, and has been part of Riverside’s portfolio since June 2005.
Riverside hopes for a sale that nets them several hundred million crowns. The fund’s strategy is based on temporary investment with the goal of building a business and then finding a new partner to sell the company to. The sale of Computer Press falls well within that established investment strategy making it no surprise. Based in Brno, Czech Republic, Computer Press currently has two divisions: non-fiction publisher CP Books and magazine publisher Computer Press Media.
