Megatech to Acquire Plastkov Group from Benson Oak

B enson Oak Capital recently announced a deal to exit Plastkov through the sale of its automotive holdings to Megatech. The sale, whose price is not known, includes three portfolio companies in the automotive injection molding business: Plastkov MR a.s., Plastkov Automotive s.r.o., and BTV Plast s.r.o.

Benson Oak originally acquired the Plastkov holdings in 2007 and 2008, merging them to produce one of the Czech Republic’s largest injection molding operations.

The Plastkov Group operates metal stamping and injection molding facilities producing products mainly for the automotive industry in Central and Eastern Europe.

As one of the largest operations of its kind in the region, Plastkov projects 2009 sales to be in excess of CZK 1.4 billion.

The group’s three sites are located in Hlinsko, Jablonec nad Nisou, and Liberec.

Megatech is an automotive parts and components supplier for customers across Europe. In addition to being a supplier, the company also develops and produces systems and modules for both passenger and commercial vehicles.

2009 turnover has been projected to be near CZK 2.1 billion, combined from operations in Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, and Romania.
