Global private equity firm Advent International has chosen Kiev-based ISIDA as the target of its first Ukrainian investment, acquiring a controlling stake in the company just two months after reaching a GBP 925 million deal for the UK’s Priory Group. The acquisition is a continuation of Advent’s 26-year history of healthcare investing.
ISIDA will now have the private equity funding to expand its medical treatment services beyond the immediate Kiev market, building new facilities and potentially hiring hundreds of new staff members, as Ukraine’s emerging healthcare sector and overall economy continue to grow.
ISIDA was established in 1993 in the Ukrainian capital, providing a variety of healthcare services such as pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, neonatology, and fertility treatments at their clinic in Kiev. Genetic research is also part of the ISIDA business model.
The company’s brand name is one of the most recognized and trusted in the Ukrainian healthcare sector, thanks to a well-trained staff of several hundred doctors, nurses, and assistants, as well as state-of-the art equipment.
ISIDA is internationally certified ISO9001:2008 compliant.
