The Bulgarian division of CallPoint New Europe Ltd., Cyprus, has garnered a EUR 3 mln minority equity investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The funds will go towards expanding operational capacity up to 2,000 seats by 2013. The investment leaves 79 percent of the company with the original 100 percent stakeholders, but requires EBRD consent for any securities sales. This is EBRD’s first foray into the Bulgarian business process outsourcing (BPO) market.
