The CEE region’s largest private equity firm, Mid Europa Partners (MEP) has increased its holding in Czech photovoltaic power park developer Energy 21 to 95 percent. The first investment of 60 mln euros in the company was made in May 2010. Energy 21 is the largest company operating in this sector in the region, with a production capacity of 62 MW of electricity per annum, and the current round of funding will be used to expand operations in the Balkan region, specifically Bulgaria.
