Point Nine Capital has co-invested along with Team Europe in a EUR 8 mln round of financing for Delivery Hero and Lieferheld. The investment will finance the rapid expansion of both portals, which offer online ordering food ordering services to customers in various locations across Germany. This last round of financing has brought the total investment raised by the two companies to USD 15 mln to date. This is the second round of financing that both Team Europe as well as Point Nine Capital have participated in since the initial funding by Team Europe when the target companies were founded.

Delivery Hero and Lieferheld were both founded in October 2010 by Team Europe; since then, the portals regularly service thousands of customers ordering fast food online, like sushi, hamburgers and pizzas. The business model allows the portals to keep a commission after transmitting the orders to the respective vendors. Though the basic model is already in place, Delivery Hero does bring some innovations to the table.

Point Nine Capital is an Angel Venture Capital company that operates out of Berlin. The company funds and provides management and other assistance to start-up companies in the Central and Eastern European region. The company has currently invested in about 15 different online portals that include Mister Spex, Babyboom and Westwing home and living.
