HackFwd Backs Latvian Infographics Start-up Infogr.am

Latvian online adobe illustration tool developer Infogr.am now has the firm backing of HackFwd, the European new-business accelerator. HackFwd’s investment strategy is unique; it invests upto GBP 200,000 per target team and takes on a 27-percent stake, and gives the startup company access to its vast international pool of operational experts in that particular domain.

Infogr.am was co-founded by Uldis Leiters and Raimonds Kaže in the Latvian city of Riga. The team’s primary offering is an infographics tool that will allow users to create stunning visual presentations based on data that they upload. The software is a web-based model and boasts ease of use to create stark data visualizations; however, the unique features enable the page or the link with the infographic item to be shared just like a social networking post. Still under development, the site offers basic interactive charts, with infographics to be offered shortly on an invitation basis.
