Israel-based Pops, the Android apps developer, has bagged a USD 1.5 mln round of funding from Mangrove Capital Partners. Mangrove has already invested into Israel’s tech market through Wix and SohoOS, and this last investment has put them on the fast track in Israel’s technology market.

Pops is essentially an Android applications developer based in Israel whose main offering is a notification tool for mobile phones. The app integrates e-mail, social networking sites, SMSes and allows personalisation of alerts. The company was founded in April 2011 by Nir Ofir.
