Europe’s top multimedia content payment system, Piano Media, has secured a EUR 2 mln round of Series B investment from 3TS Capital Partners, one of the big players in the CEE region investment game. The funding will be used by Piano to support resources for expansion, recruitment and marketing.

Piano Media is currently the European continent’s undisputed leader in online content payment systems. The Slovakian company allows its clients to monetize their online multimedia content without losing out on revenue from advertising or market share. The company was founded by Tomáš Bella and won its first round of financing in 2011; Bella is the former editor-in-chief of Slovakia’s largest news website. With its subscription-based model of online content access, Piano has already paid out EUR 26,000 to publishers who participate in the program. Users pay a monthly fee of between EUR 3.9 and EUR 5 for access to over 60 multimedia content websites from 20 different publishers. In July 2012 Piano Media launched its service in Poland, after a successful entry to the Slovenian market.
