Russian e-commerce system and online procurement specialists B2B-Center has just closed a financing round after raising USD 45m from a group of investors led by Da Vinci Capital Partners, Runa Capital, Insight Capital and Alpha Associates. Prior investors in the company include Mail.ru, as well as B2B-Center founder Alexandar Boyko. B2B-Center enables its customers to buy and sell a variety of services and products over the web; as such, it is the leader in the online procurement industry by volume of transactions and market share. The current daily trading volume has been pegged at between USD 70m and USD 300m, with USD 700,000 being the average transaction sized. B2B-Center will use the new capital injection to ensure its growth and continue to target and build its client base in the international market. The company has conducted over 169,000 transactions till date through a customer base of more than 89,000 spread across 79 countries across the globe. Founded in 2002, B2B-Center is led by Boyko and his team of three directors.
